Online law education
Online law education is now offered by many schools. Studying in law schools by correspondence is not a new idea. They were practiced even in the 19th century. Now with the passage of time and the development of technology, online law colleges have come up.
The online law education generally uses the Socratic Method. The law schools generally use online sessions to teach in this method. It is also called casebook method. The students have to complete the given task and then brief before each class. Generally, an in class presentation is given after this. The students learn how to make a legal argument by this method.
This kind of education has some advantages like flexibility of class, less tuitions, and the biggest one, no geographical boundary. Also, the feedback is direct from the students. Sometimes the students are taught personally i.e. one is to one, while at other times, they are taught together. In the second form of teaching, the students have a contact within themselves also.
Currently some of the countries that have the option to teach law online are Germany, UK, South Africa, USA, etc. Not all countries have this facility. But it is always acceptable that you do the course online from any country you wish. This is now gradually gaining acceptability to law schools. But many law firms still do not accept online educated lawyers.
