Medical Emergancy

Often we hear that someone had a heart attack or someone had an accident, but it’s not necessary that when this incidents happens the victim is near any hospital or clinic and this medical emergencies are acute and poses an immediate risk to a person's life or long term health. In this kind of emergencies we always should take assistance from another person, who should ideally be suitably qualified to do so, although some of these emergencies can be dealt with by the victim themselves.

From a first aider to an emergency physician through to specialist surgeons all kinds/levels of cure can be dependent on the severity of the emergency. But medical emergencies can occur at the hospital or outside the hospital and in each case the response to the medical emergency call varies. After confirming the incident as a medical emergency the emergency dispatchers will generally run through a questioning system such as AMPDS in order to assess the priority level of the call, along with the caller's name and location. In these medical emergencies those who are trained to perform first aid can act according to the knowledge they have, whilst awaiting the next level of definitive care and those who are not able to do first aid can also help by remaining calm and staying with the injured or ill person.

If the emergency occurs at the hospital or clinic premises for that an adequate staff is generally present to deal with the average emergency situation. In disasters or complex emergencies, most of the hospitals have protocols to summon on-site and off-site staff rapidly. Many USA states have "Good Samaritan laws" to protect civilian responders who choose to assist in an emergency.
